We provide advice across three key market segments. Below, you’ll find examples of the types of clients we support, the nature of the advice we offer, and an outline of our typical fees. We hope this is useful; however, we recognise that every client’s circumstances are unique. If you require guidance on something not shown here, please get in touch to discuss your needs.
Your initial meeting or telephone consultation is completely free of charge and provided at our cost.
1. Pension Advice at Retirement.
Mrs B, aged 59, holds £100,000 in private pension schemes with two providers: The People’s Pension and Aviva. In addition, she has a final salary scheme with the Teachers’ Pension Scheme and an older final salary scheme with Mercer.
Mrs B wants to retire at 60 and needs to understand how much tax‑free cash she can take, the potential income from her two private pension schemes, and the most tax‑efficient way to draw benefits from her final salary schemes. She also requires support in navigating the large amount of paperwork and the many options available.
Solution:
We produced a retirement cashflow forecast, consolidated the two private pension schemes into a flexible drawdown plan, and released tax‑free cash to help her repay her mortgage. We also analysed her final salary schemes and advised on the optimal balance between taking tax‑free cash and securing income to support her throughout retirement.
Fee:
We charged £950.00 for the cashflow planning and implementation, plus 1%of the flexible drawdown fund that we now manage for ongoing investment advice.

Financial advice covers a broad range of products and services. At PFEP Wealth, we primarily support three groups of clients:
1. Retiring Soon
Individuals and business owners approaching retirement who need clarity on whether their money will last. These clients want confidence that they can stop working and enjoy retirement without the fear of running out of funds.
2. Tax Mitigation
We work with clients seeking to reduce their tax liabilities—including business owners wanting to use pension contributions to mitigate corporation tax, and landlords exploring the benefits of transferring property portfolios into limited company structures or simply reducing tax on buy‑to‑let income.
Inheritance Tax (IHT) is a major concern for many clients and is expected to become even more challenging with the proposed 2027 changes. A large proportion of clients now face significant IHT exposure. One of our key advantages is that we provide in‑house wills, IPDI trusts, and property transfers, removing the need to instruct a solicitor separately.
3. Estate Planning
We offer comprehensive in‑house estate planning services, including tax mitigation, Capital Gains Tax (CGT) advice, and SDLT guidance. We can also execute transfers of equity for married couples or civil partners to avoid default 50/50 ownership splits, helping to optimise income and taxation—commonly known as completing a Form 17.
Don't forget the Wealth Management!
Our advice is built around a comprehensive wealth‑management approach designed to help clients make the most of their financial resources. For many individuals, this involves strategic use of pensions and ISAs, as these remain two of the most effective and tax‑efficient vehicles for long‑term wealth accumulation.
By integrating these into a tailored financial plan, we help clients maximise their growth potential, reduce unnecessary tax, and create a structured path toward their short‑ and long‑term financial goals.
